This is a well-developed, complete story. Kids versus the bad guy is not a new concept, but this adds a unique take on it with one of those kids being an immigrant. It’s refreshing to see this through young eyes.
WE SCREENPLAY
The Smugglers’ Tunnel is a work that exudes style and hums with a unique voice throughout its 96 pages. The writer feels like an authority on every minute detail of the script’s world, from the intricacies of the boats at the center of these characters’ lives to the terse, matter-of-fact cadence of their speech.
